What the hell is ‘I <3 2 Yap!’ even about?

One of the first things people tell you when you want to create a presence on any platform is that you need to “find your niche”—and I think my “niche” is that I can’t even begin to pick one. I started this newsletter solely to stay consistent with writing for personal enjoyment and to create a space where I could talk about anything I want to in any given moment. You’ll probably see me talk about an album or artists I’m currently obsessed with, fashion, pop culture, cooking (I love to share recipes), or sharing a story that may or may not have a valuable lesson attached to it (heavy on may not).

The best way to describe this newsletter in a single sentence: It’ll be like you’re reading my journal. I want to share the most unfiltered version of my personal experiences and feelings while navigating my 20s, and some terrible takes along the way (it’ll keep things interesting on here). I also LOVE to interview people, so expect some special guest appearances at some point!

Who’s to say what path this newsletter will take, all I know is I’m just a girl who really loves to yap and this seems like the best way for me to stop abusing Instagram create mode stories.

A quick lil intro to me!

If you are a stranger and don’t know me (yet): I’m Izzy! I’m from Toronto, I’m an Aquarius, and I genuinely just love to talk. I work as a publicist, but also write freelance for a few music zines. You may know me as the woman behind Sonique On Tour. Some hobbies include film photography, bullet journalling, sewing, cooking, painting, and writing (hence this newsletter). I never know what to say in an ‘About Me’ so I asked my friends to describe me as if they’re doing a product review/testimony. This is what they said:

“Is a great time. Very mischievous. Can be off-putting to some but welcomed by most.” -Leora Trefler

“Izzy is witty, creative, and loves music and pop culture. She always knows what’s going on and is ready to share her opinion/take on fashion, albums, concerts, movies, bands or pop girls in a unique, fun way!” -Olivia Rodrigues

“Great experience. 10/10 would recommend. Batteries are not included btw.” -Emily Lindgreen
